Upon completion of this activity, you should know or understand:
- How clouds form.
- Cloud types.
- Use of technology to record clouds.
- How to use a cloud chart.
- The weather associated with certain clouds
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
This will be an ongoing activity that will take a little time thought
the year. You will be given the opportunity to take pictures of different
cloud formations you observe, or of different weather phenomena that occur
like rainbows, sun dogs and so on. You will put a scrapbook together with
your pictures and a description of the clouds, and the weather associated
with them.
MATERIALS
- Digital or disposable camera
- Scrapbook
- Cloud chart or guide book
- Dividers for the scrapbook
- Pen and paper
- Cloud data sheets
- Tape
METHODS/PROCEDURES
- Use the camera to take pictures of clouds or other weather happenings
in your area at different times of the day.
- After the pictures are developed, put them in the scrapbook with their
information from your cloud data sheets
- Determine what type clouds you have photographed and put them in the
scrapbook in the appropriate place.
RESULTS/CONCLUSIONS
